Senior Software Engineer

At Levels Beyond, we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who has a passion for crafting valuable, high quality products at the speed of light. Designing, developing, testing, deploying and supporting an enterprise product which solves challenging customer problems are all part of what our teams do everyday. RESPONSIBILITIES & OBJECTIVES:

• Design reliable, scalable and performant solutions and influence design decisions, including RESTful APIs, cloud based ecosystems and capable user interfaces
• Write solid unit, functional and API tests; performance tests and analytics when needed
• Quickly and safely deploy valuable code to production
• Be the technical lead and quality gatekeeper by designing, reviewing, and overseeing implementation of end-to-end systems, ensuring consistency across teams
• Lend support to various business and technology teams as necessary during design, development and delivery to ensure solid, scalable, robust solutions.
• Effectively manage their own day-to-day tasks / activities and lead / work within a team to effectively meet the deliverables and schedule of an enterprise-wide, software development project.
• Be able to clearly communicate in verbal and written forms complex technical designs and solutions in clear, concise and easily readable format by both technical and non-technical personnel.
• Accurately track and manage project task, activity, documentation, and time information as necessary.
• Accurately assess the risks associated with each solution design / project.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• 7+ years of application programming in front end user interfaces, server-side application and database queries
• 5+ years of experience with full cycle application development (Full SDLC experience: design, development, delivery, etc.),
• 5+ years of experience implementing modern applications using:
  • Modern languages like Java, Kotlin, Python, Javascript, etc.
  • Cloud Based Solutions/Technologies (AWS, Google, Azure) such as Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, CFTs, S3, CloudWatch and Serverless Framework
  • Implementation of modern application and infrastructure design patterns, including microservices and containers, disposable, reactive, stateless and distributed patterns
  • DevSecOps and cloud security
  • Data architecture
  • UI frameworks like Angular

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

This is a salary based position with a pay range expected between 145k - 175k annually based on experience and skillset plus equity in the company (pay for other locations may vary).
